  • How do you stay productive when working from home?

Working from home was supposed to be the dream, but honestly, it has turned into a mixed bag for me. At first, I loved rolling out of bed, grabbing coffee, and starting work without the stress of commuting. But now the distractions have taken over — laundry piles up, social media is always just one click away, and somehow the fridge calls my name ten times a day. Last week I was so distracted I missed a small deadline, and it stressed me out way more than if I had been in the office. I’m trying to create a balance, but it feels like I either work too much and get burnt out, or work too little and fall behind. Has anyone cracked the code for staying productive at home without losing your sanity?

I felt the same way during my first year of remote work. What helped me was setting boundaries — both physical and mental. I created a small “office corner” at home where I only work, no Netflix, no food, just tasks. Another trick that surprisingly worked was using checklists: finishing tasks one by one gave me a sense of progress. Interestingly, I discovered some good time-management advice while browsing Nutra CPA Network. Even though it’s more about marketing, I found that their case studies emphasized routines, testing, and optimization, which I adapted to my daily schedule. It showed me that productivity is about experimenting with habits the same way you’d test campaigns.

I don’t work in affiliate or anything like that, but I’ve been remote for years in IT. The only thing that truly worked for me was making a fake commute — every morning I walk around the block for 10 minutes, then come back and “start work.” That psychological shift helps me focus. Might sound silly, but it really changed my energy.
