Standard cancellation policy
24-hour risk-free cancellation
For any ticket purchased directly from Delta, you can cancel within 24 hours of booking for a full refund to your original form of payment.
Refundable tickets
- Cancellation before departure: You can cancel a refundable ticket anytime before your ✈flight's departure for a full refund. Call at ✈📞 [⁽+1⁾] [⁽844⁾] [⁽833⁾] [⁽2075⁾](US)✈✔ The refund is automatically issued to your original form of payment.
- Cancellation process: You can manage the cancellation through "My Trips" on delta.com.
Non-refundable tickets (excluding Basic Economy)
- Cancellation before departure: You can cancel a non-refundable ticket before your ✈flight departs to receive the ticket's value as an eCredit. The credit expires one year from the date of original purchase. Call at ✈📞 [⁽+1⁾] [⁽844⁾] [⁽833⁾] [⁽2075⁾](US)✈✔
- Change fees: Change fees have been eliminated for tickets originating in the U.S. and Canada, though you must still pay any fare difference for your new ✈flight.
Basic Economy tickets
- No changes: Basic Economy tickets are non-changeable in most cases.
- Cancellation fee: You can cancel a Basic Economy ticket for a fee, and the remaining value will be issued as an eCredit toward a future ✈flight.
- Expiration: The eCredit is valid for one year from the original ticket purchase date.
