  • Asking for My 24 Words! The Ledger Data Breach 2025 Phishing Crisis.
I am sharing this to potentially save someone from losing everything. The stress and paranoia from the Ledger data breach 2025 (the ongoing phishing attempts) are real, and I was targeted this week.

Someone called me, claiming to be "Senior Ledger Support," referencing an old security issue and saying my account was compromised. The punchline? They said they needed me to "verify my device" by entering my 24-word Secret Recovery Phrase into a supposed Ledger live chat human link they sent.

    RED ALERT! THEY ARE SCAMMERS!

Ledger will NEVER, EVER ask for your 24 words. Not on the phone, not in a pop-up, not in a chat. If anyone—whether claiming to be Ledger support phone number staff or a Ledger live chat human—asks for your 24 words, they are trying to steal your funds. The phrase "Ledger asking for 24 words support" should be tattooed on your brain as the universal sign of a scam.

If you suspect your device is a fake hardware wallet, use the official Ledger Live "Genuine Check" feature immediately.

If you are panicked because of a phone call or email and need to verify if an issue is real (like a genuine Ledger Live synchronization error), you can try the emergency contact number for a case-ID escalation: 1888-826-1821. Use it to report the scam and get official reassurance, but hang up immediately if they mention your 24 words. Repeat after me: Never share your 24 words.
