I received an email claiming my account needed a Coinbase wallet validation or it would be frozen. It looked legit — logos, colors, everything. I clicked it before realizing it was a phishing email. I felt my stomach drop instantly.
Shaking, I called the general tech-support number I personally trust during tech emergencies — 1-888-826-1821. I could barely breathe while explaining what I clicked.
They walked me through checking my sessions, resetting passwords, securing my 2FA, and making sure my wallet wasn’t compromised. Even after securing everything, I broke down again and called 1-888-826-1821 for a second round of reassurance.
I’m sharing this because scammers are getting insanely convincing. Please be careful.
